My name is Shandi Niles.  I am a Fantasy Adventure writer.  Sphere of Stones was an epic battle that began in my head in 2001 and took me 10 years to finish.   This nine book series was completely written pen to paper.  (When this battle began I didn’t own a computer.)  Even today, with a keyboard at my fingertips, I still rely on the common ball point pen and college ruled paper.  I have done my best to model, shape and create a story that will take you places you could never imagine, to become a part of some very brave, courageous and interesting characters.  I truly hope everyone will enjoy reading it, as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
I was born in a small town in Kentucky and lived there until the age of 5.  I spent the rest of my life in California where I met my husband at the age of 11 and married him at the age of 19.  We are celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary this year and have three beautiful children, two boys and a girl.

I want to thank my husband and children for putting up with the endless hours I have dedicated to my writing.  My Father for all his faith in me and helping me to see my dreams come true!  To my mentor and friend, the president of my Fan Club, Denise.  Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

I love you all!

Sincerely,
Shandi Niles

Journey Through the Fantom Forrest

On an early fall morning in September, Adeema’s home in Pathaway Village is invaded by two soldiers of the SIN army.  Sent by the evil Lord Slavon Sindorio, he orders the men to retrieve a stone that is presumed to hold some kind of power.  Oblivious to what the soldiers want,  Adeema fears for herself and the safety of her mother Leela.  While the hostile men literally destroy their home, Leela finally tells them where the stone is hidden.  After it is given to them; one soldier rapes Leela and stabs her, while the other man spares Adeema her life.

In Leela’s final moments, she tells her daughter that the stone she gave the soldiers was that of a fake;  the real stone must be taken to the kingdom of Tatius.  Leela instructs Adeema to give the real stone only to King Ray.  He will know what to do with it.  Horrified and frightened, Adeema does as her mother tells her and flees her home on a journey she could never have imagined in her wildest of both dreams and nightmares.

Journey to Gallamaya Falls

Reunited in the arms of her brothers, and introduced to the king's seven royal swordsmen; Adeema now faces more than a challenge of avoiding anymore SIN. She must also handle the hot tempered Prince Damien Armikon, whom has already tested her to her limits of endurance. While on the other hand; she has to find away to handle her own emotions as she finds her heart falling for the beautiful man with the brilliant pale blue eyes, Prince Rainin Armikon.

With everyone now fully aware of what power the red stone holds, the men quickly realize the seriousness of the situation. Her whole life has suddenly changed as she deals with intense arguing and fighting; along with swords swinging, arrows soaring, and fists flying. Although one thing is all too clear to the men involved; and that is their main objective is to get Adeema to Tatius safely. Having to change their route already twice; they now decide to head ten miles back to the burnt village. They get more than they expected as they are greeted by both allied and enemies, with an incomprehensible outcome of events.

Once back deep within the Fantom Forrest, Adeema somehow is lured by an unknown force, and ends up beyond the white tattered fence that was supposed to be a fairytale told by Tominus. The great wizard Sir Rominon appears to her, sharing that she and the men must collect eight more stones that are hidden throughout the lands. His wise words leave her lost, and even more confused.

Having very little to go on, Adeema feels hopeless until she begins to follow the clues that Sir Rominon has shared with her; while coming to grips with the undeniable fact that there is no turning back. She faces situations she never fathomed in all her life, for where evil roams, so do SIN, as she and the men meet the infamous Lieutenant General Killian.

An introduction profoundly dangerous and threatening; Adeema must overcome one of her deepest fears in order to save herself, along with those she loves, and has grown to love. In the process; she also locates the second stone, and seizes the moment where she discovers its phenomenal power, which led them on their Journey to Gallamaya Falls!

Gateway to Geikin Cove

With the green stone retrieved from Gallamaya Falls, safely in Adeema’s possession, she is rightfully deemed “the Possessor of the Stones”.  She realizes that her once thought duty, has quickly become her destiny.

While having fallen deeply in love with Rainin, she also builds trusting friendships and is blessed with many heartfelt moments; but those do not come without an increase in enemies, and overwhelming moments of heartache.  One thing for sure has not changed; and that is the fact that her relationship with Damien has remained the same.  Her introduction to Lieutenant General Killian left her with the undeniable reality this huge man is much scarier than the young handsome prince she nicknamed, ‘the beautiful bastard’, could ever be.

Adeema is well aware that her new journey will begin sooner than she wants.  She has no doubt in her mind that Sir Rominon will appear in his usual brilliant style to guide her into the unknown.  White lilies, left by the great wizard, lead her to where those sane would never go.  Little does she know that deep within the bowels of darkness lurk more than just bats, roaches and spiders.  She gets more than she bargains for when she and the men are faced with ear piercing creatures called Geikovians; and, a serpent woman once thought to be nothing more than a myth.

It will take more than their gut instincts to survive and find a way back to the surface; from a place that holds more secrets and lies than she ever thought imaginable.  Meticulous thinking, and team work leaves Adeema uncomfortable in knowing that these brave men will do more than their part in the search.  This time, they must solve the rhymes and riddles that etch themselves out on the cave walls.  With no room for error, things quickly heat up.  Leaving them all to once again trust one another in the scariest place on earth, or so they think.  For there is definitely more hidden in the darkness just beyond, “The Gateway to Geikin Cove!”
